What we keep, and why.
Fit is intimate information. We collect the least that improves your next purchase, keep it in your control, and share it only as part of a group.
Before you sign in
Anchors and shape answers live only in your browser. Personalised matches are computed by sending them to our server for that one request; they are not stored. Clearing your browser data clears them.
How visits are counted
We use cookieless, aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights): which pages are viewed, the referring site, country, device type, page speed, and clicks on links to brand and shop sites. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no profile of you. We also keep our own daily counters for two things: “added an item” with the category, and “clicked a link” with the kind of link and the destination site. A counter is a number per day. It holds no visitor id, IP address, browser details or page address, so it cannot be tied to you.
What an account stores
- Email address, an optional display name, and city, province or state and country if you list items.
- Fit anchors: product, size label, outcome and optional problem tags.
- Fit reports as you wrote them, plus, only if you tick the box, your size on our internal scale and coarse shape answers.
- Listings, replies, and your consent choices with the notice version you agreed to.
What we never collect
- Photos of you, body scans, weight, or measurements in centimetres or inches.
- Pregnancy, nursing, surgery or other health context. Filters for those needs are session-only and not logged.
- Anything from people under 16.
How similarity works without exposing you
Aggregates are computed on our server with the service role; browsers never receive individual fit features. Nothing is shown for fewer than five distinct reporters, and any slice offered to brands requires eleven or more. Counts on the site are rounded.
Where the data lives
In a Supabase project in North America. Residents of Washington State: we treat fit data as consumer health data under the My Health My Data Act, with separate consent for collection and sharing. Residents of Quebec: your data may be stored outside Quebec; contact us with any question about that transfer.
Your controls
- Withdraw any consent in My fit; similarity weighting stops within 24 hours.
- Export everything as a file, or delete your account and all of its rows.
