Kids clothing sizes
Europe, Japan and China put the child's height on the label: a 110 is cut for a child 110 cm tall. The US and the UK put a letter or an age on it, which is why one child wears three different labels.

What to trust here
- Height is the reliable number. It is the label itself in Europe, Japan and China, so it travels between brands.
- Letters are a brand's own convention. The US column here is Gap's; another brand can cut its M for a different child.
- Age is a hint, not a size. Children of the same age differ by a size or two.
- Not covered yet: US toddler sizes (2T to 5T) and US numeric sizes (4, 5, 6, 6X, 7). We have not found a chart for them we are allowed to read, so we leave them out rather than guess.
